Caminar and NAMI San Mateo County partnered in a joint fundraising event- An Evening with Doris Buffett, which was held on March 31, 2011. Warren Buffett prepared a special video for the event introducing his older sister, Doris. She and Warren grew up with a mother who had mental illness. Michael Zitz, author of Giving It All Away: The Doris Buffett Story, will interview Doris about her interesting life, growing up with Warren, and the Sunshine Lady Foundation she founded in 1996. The Foundation has given away $100 million- and Doris is not done yet. She is still personally seeking recipients of her grants.
